Wheel lock washer is a fastener used in automobiles and other applications to secure wheel nuts to the wheel hub, preventing them from loosening due to vibration or other forces. It is made of hardened steel and has a unique shape. This washer has a thicker center and thinner edges, which helps to evenly distribute clamping force around the wheel nuts. The wheel lock washer is designed as a circular metal disc, which has notches from the center to the outer edge. When compressed, it produces a spring like effect, which allows the washer to apply pressure to the fastener and its fixing surface, creating friction and preventing loosening. When installing the wheel lock washer, place it between the wheel hub and the wheel nut, and then tighten the wheel nut to the standard torque specification.
